How WanderBids uses AI
Effective {{ ACE: }}
The short version
Right now we don’t use AI on the personal information you send us: people read agency applications and messages. When trip briefs open with our pilot, we’ll use AI for the paperwork, so people can focus on the trip. Agencies will sign off every price, and no decision about you will be made by AI alone. We never put passport numbers or card details into AI.
Which AI we use
Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. When we use it for your information, we’ll use it only through a business account under Anthropic’s commercial terms. Under those terms, Anthropic doesn’t use our data to train its models by default, and we won’t opt in. We don’t use other AI providers for the information you send us, and there’s no AI chat on this website.
What the AI will do
When trip briefs open, the AI will:
- Organize trip briefs into a standard format and flag anything missing, so agencies can quote without back-and-forth.
- Suggest agencies that might fit a trip. A WanderBids team member chooses the agencies.
- Help agencies draft proposals. The agency reviews, edits and approves every proposal, including every price, before it reaches the traveler.
- Draft a side-by-side comparison of the proposals a traveler receives and point out differences, such as what’s included or excluded.
If you ever chat with an AI assistant from WanderBids, on our website or on WhatsApp, it will tell you it’s an AI.
What the AI doesn’t do
- It doesn’t set prices. No AI-generated price reaches a traveler without the agency’s sign-off, and a person checks the prices in our comparisons before we send them.
- It doesn’t make decisions about you on its own. People decide which agencies receive a brief, what we send and which agencies we accept. Travelers decide whether to book.
- It doesn’t see passport numbers or payment details. We never ask for them on this website and never put them into AI.
- It doesn’t write reviews.
- It doesn’t give visa, health or legal advice. If we share entry information, we link to the official source.
What information the AI will use
- Trip details from a brief: where the travelers are leaving from, destination, dates, trip length, group make-up, occasion, budget range and must-haves.
- The proposals agencies send for that trip.
- Not names, email addresses or phone numbers.
- Not agency applications or contact-form messages.
AI processing may take place in the United States or other countries (see section 6 of our Privacy notice).
People stay in charge
- A team member will check each AI-organized brief before any agency sees it.
- A team member will check each comparison against the agencies’ proposals before we send it.
- Agencies approve every proposal and every price.
- AI can make mistakes. If something in our summary looks wrong, tell us. The agency’s proposal is what counts.
Your choices and questions
- Prefer a person? When trip briefs open, you can ask us to handle your request without AI. We’ll do this where we can, and tell you if it will take longer.
- Questions? Ask how we use AI, or ask a person to review something: {{ ACE: }}.
